Architectural lighting design
We prepare lighting designs for the use and architectural arrangement of spaces, considering lighting calculations alongside design decisions. Relationships between light, surfaces and materials are evaluated within the space as a whole.
Which needs does it address?
We work on lighting arrangements that support the use of a space or address the lighting requirements of an existing design. The function, areas involved, existing drawings and issues to be addressed are reviewed together at the outset.
Scope of work
Lighting layouts and calculations are developed alongside the architectural plan and the way the space is used. The relationship of light to materials, colour and surfaces forms part of the design. Interfaces with electrical project work are coordinated with the relevant discipline within the agreed scope.
Deliverables
Depending on the scope, deliverables include lighting layouts, calculation results and drawings explaining the design decisions. Relevant details and visual explanations may accompany this work. The spaces, calculation topics and source material to be addressed are established in advance.
